Clean rooms, easy location, fun bar a walking distance away, and easy access to all trails. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. I had an excellent time.
I just visited the store and spent some amazing time with natural in back yard by the small river. (Creek) Store is like in the movies . Very picturesque. Well stocked. Fair prices. You can find out about everything. Their mulberry milk is a must. I have it pinned to come bake ok my next trip to the area.
On a recent road trip with my daughter we happened upon this jewel! The room was decorated vintage, exceptionally clean and the best shower ever made. Wonderful friendly folks....the lady is especially nice. It is on the bank of a stream and you can get Huckleberry ice cream for breakfast! Very affordable! I love everything about it!
We stayed on a Saturday night for a race on the Hiawatha trail. It was so close to the trail, only about a 8 minute drive. The room was nice and clean with an incredible shower! It was incredibly priced and pet friendly. There was a creek right next to the motel with some chairs so you could relax. Inside the store, they sold a ton of goodies including fresh cherries and ice cream! The shop/motel keeper was super friendly.
I wish we could have stayed longer! The room was clean and comfortable. Sheets were spectacularly soft! We enjoyed sitting out on the porch looking over the creek. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the lack of air conditioning, but we both sleep with really cold temperatures at night so this might not be as much of an issue for others. The store had a little bit of everything and wonderful people. I would happily stay here again.
I stopped here with my aunt on our cross-country road trip. We had been camping along our route from NY but after several nights in a tent we wanted an actual bed! This little store and motel were awesome. The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, and homey! The couple who own the store are very friendly. We ate at the Old Montana Bar just down the road and the food was good and it had a cozy, small town atmosphere. We loved staying here so much that we made sure to stay again a week later on our return trip.
This place is fantastic. We needed a room for daytime use and they were able to accommodate us after a nearby place turned us away. The beds were comfortable, the room very clean, rare reasonable, and we had an overall great experience. Really recommend room 6 which has a private deck overlooking the River. Do not judge this place because of its outward appearance!
Small town and right off the highway. Easy to park a big truck across the street. They stayed open late just to check us in. And theirs a cool river running behind it
